NEW CLASSROOM FOR CAPE OF GOOD HOPE SCHOOL (2015)

Emerging school founded in 2013 in the rural village of Tsunza with the aim of improving education standards in Kinango area. The teachers themselves had constructed two classrooms made of mud and poles, and last year Children of Africa obtained the funds to build a new cemented classroom.

LIBRARY FOR DZIVANI PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 2015, Children of Africa also gave financial and HR support to the construction of a new library for Dzivani School (Kinango District, Kenya). Funds were also obtained to make furniture and purchase books.

TSUNZA MEDICAL CENTRE

In 2011, we started giving support to the emerging project of a medical centre for Tsunza village. In 2011 construction started; in 2012 construction finished; in 2013 the centre was launched to the public and in 2014 and 2015 we have been giving support to improve the centre.

IMPROVING DZIVANI

PRIMARY SCHOOL

In 2014, our efforts went to Dzivani Primary School mainly. We got funds to support a new project consisting of construction of an administration block with teachers's room, reception and headmaster's office, renovation of 4 classrooms, construction of 4 toilets, and purchase of lots of school material.

WOMEN'S GROUPS

In 2012, Children of Africa contributed to the foundation of Tsunza 4 Life Women's Group, buying materials to start their project making bracelets and bags. Followed by Kata na Shona Women's Group (2013), and Dzivani 4 Life Women's Group (2014).

LUTSANGANI LIBRARY

In 2013, we gave suport to the construction of a new school library for Lutsangani Primary School, that is currently being used as an extra classroom also. Furniture and books were also provided.

Latest & current projects

In 2015 Children of Africa gave support to education, health and community projects, such as the construction of a library for Dzivani Primary School, improvements of Tsunza Medical Centre, construction of one classroom for Cape of Good Hope Primary School and support to Tsunza for Life, Dzivani for Life and Kata na Shona women0s groups.

In 2016, we will continue giving support to Cape of Good Hope School, by funding the construction of two new classrooms and school equipment, we will also give support to the new Makuti Children's Home, and to Kinango for Life project about AIDS prevention and school performance improvement.
